Health and Fitness
PRIDE helps its employees and neighbours stay fit. That means not spoiling walking and cycling with avoidable car or truck movements, not burdening machinists with minimum quotas and making beach and pool fitness a part of each work day. To help protect employees’ and neighbours’ interests as active commuters, CEO Steven Fleming serves as a member of Newcastle’s Liveable Cities Advisory Committee, its Active Transport Sub-Committee and the Newcastle Cycleways Movement.
Environmentalism and Humanism
Embedded throughout PRIDE’s manufacturing and distribution policies is a goal to be stewards of the environment and human wellbeing. At the present time, while PRIDE is too small to personally oversee its supply chains, it pledges to eliminate suppliers should abhorrent acts come to light, for example human slavery or environmental degradation.
It enriches cultures and reduces transportation to locally manufacture things more than we do. That is why PRIDE always welcomes approaches from Australian makers of rubber, thread, metal hardware and fabric that we currently source overseas.
Reducing Air Postage
PRIDE’s long term plan for reducing airmail is to establish factories in other countries. If you love what we do and are skilled and equipped to make impeccable swimwear, reach out through our contact page; you might want to head an international franchise.
