Below is a rolling timeline of procedural changes responding to Covid-19. We welcome all suggestions to help us improve on-the-hop and invite you to take and share anything we have adopted with others.
12 March: Today we fully isolated our home and workspace. Having a medical professional in the house has helped us instate tight procedures to prevent the entry of the virus via people or goods. Customers ordering online can be assured their swimsuit has been made to order in a fully isolated environment.
21 March: From today, any item tried for size in our store at 164 Hunter Street Mall is being immediately taken and laundered, set aside for one week, then fitted with a new sanitary label before being returned to the racks.
22 March: To reduce our number of trips to the post office, we have switched to DHL for international freight. It mattered to us that, internationally, DHL are leaders in cycle logistics.
22 March: with the shift to DHL come express shipping options. These become free when your order is AUD$350 or over.
31 March: Beaches and ocean pools have been closed, but remain open for the purpose of exercise. Using the hashtag #swimthroughit we are promoting this via our newsletters and social media posts in the hope that all those who may have a date with this virus, are in their best physical shape.
1 April: Today Pride was entered onto the register of suppliers of PPE to the state's hospitals. We have committed to make 300 non-waterproof surgical gowns within one month of being called upon to do so.
If you're inspired to support us by means other than buying, please use the hashtag #swimthroughit in your social media posts and link back to our website or profiles wherever you can.
